If your heart calls you even further into the wonders of Peru, we are offering a special four-day, three night extension to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Together, we will visit the grand temples of Raqchi and the powerful remains of the Pucaran civilization, then take a private boat out to the island of Amantani, where we will visit the temples of the cosmic mother and father and stay overnight in the welcoming adobe houses of the islanders. We will visit the floating islands of Uros, home to one of the oldest peoples in Peru, and meditate at the great, 5000 year old doorway of Aramu Muru, offering our thanks to this mystical land and its people at the cosmic gateways of Silustani before flying back to Lima to catch our international flights home.

1. What makes this Peru Journey different from other Peruvian vacations? Most companies offer "on-the-bus-off-the-bus tours," staying one night in each place, and often forcing participants to choose between unexpected "optional" (and expensive) additions to the tour, and free time. Guiding services are often provided by tourism professionals, and many important parts of the experience are not included in the base price. We take great joy in offering a profoundly different experience. On our tours, we give you plenty of free time at all the important sites and slow down the trip as much as possible, staying at least two nights in most hotels. There are no hidden costs and everything important is included. While we have government certified guides with us at all sites, you will be guided by spiritual practitioners who have given their whole lives to the traditions and teachings of these places, who will help you experience the power and wisdom of every place we travel. We build community among our participants, and tend to your inner experience as well as your outer experience -- we truly want you to have a life-changing experience, that you will cherish forever.
2. What weather can I expect on this trip and how should I pack?
Weather conditions in March can vary widely from day to night. Summer apparel is helpful during the day but evenings are a little cooler. Bringing a warmer layer for inclement weather is a good idea, since we will be there at the tail end of the rainy season. Because of altitude, the sun is stronger and sun protection is a good idea in addition to mosquito repellant. Insect repellant is very important especially in the area around Machu Picchu.
3. Do I have to worry about traveler's diarrhea? All of the food is prepared with meticulous care, dedication, and love using heavily filtered water. At the same time, it is a good idea to be very careful to use bottled water only and carrying hand sanitizer, and being very careful about putting hands close to your face. With these precautions, the incidence of digestive disorders is very low.
4. Do we use sacred plant medicines? No. It is my experience that the sacred sites themselves carry enough charge to promote incredible upliftment and healing.
5. Will there be phone or internet access? All of our lodgings are equipped with wireless internet but cell signals are often limited in rural areas and inconsistent depending on the weather. We encourage you to use this time to give yourself a break from technology addiction.
6. Are the rooms single or double occupancy? All hotels are booked through us. The full price for the main trip includes a double occupancy room. For an additional single supplement, a limited number of single rooms are available. For an additional fee, there may be single rooms available during the extension in Cuernavaca, depending on the hotel's availability.
7. Do I have to speak Spanish? No. It is helpful but not necessary.

- Scenic train rides to and from the colorful high mountain village of Aguas Caliente, where we will stay for two nights, as we explore the majestic heights of Machu Picchu together one afternoon, and for an entire day on your own!
- Two nights staying in beautiful Miraflores, one of the most beautiful areas of Lima, with a day trip in Lima to the San Francisco Convent, Parque del Amor, Plaza Mayor and Larco Museum.
- Domestic Flights to and from Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incan Empire,
- A visit to the colorful traditional handicrafts markets and temples of Pisac and two nights in the beautiful Urubamba valley
- Visits to the Temples the Earth Mother at Moray, the Galactic Portal of the UFO Lake, the Salt Flats and the traditional weaving village of Chincheros.

Jorge Luis Delgado was, born in the highlands near Lake Titicaca, Peru. Jorge Luis is known worldwide as a knowledgeable guide and the Sacred Valley Highlands of the Andes. His knowledge encompasses the culture, traditions and spiritual heritage of vibrant Inca world. Jorge Luis is a "chacaruna," a person of the bridge, helping people connect with their spiritual self within their own traditions.

Trip Costs: Full Price for the Main Trip is $3695/person for double occupancy, or $3595 with early registration savings if you register before November 1, 2018; Single occupancy rooms may be available for a supplemental fee of $600. The price for the extension is $995; a limited number of single accommodations are available for $200. An additional ticketing fee of 2.5% will be automatically added by our ticketing system. Schedule of Payments: A deposit of at least $1000 is required to hold your reservation before December 31, 2018. 50% of total trip balance is due on or before December 31, 2018. Full payment is due before January 15, 2019. Registrations may be accepted after January 15, 2019 depending on availability. An invoice for all payments will be sent two weeks prior to payment due date as a courtesy, but participants are responsible for making all payments on time. Physical Preparations: Much of this trip will occur at high altitude (9,000 – 14,000 feet.) Since most of us do not live at this elevation, some preparation will be helpful to assist our bodies with this adjustment. Spirit Journeys and our guides will provide ample support for your well-being during the trip but some groundwork on your part will be beneficial. We encourage you to consult with your medical practitioner to lay the ground work for a stress free trip, and to begin a program of light physical exercise to be ready for the moderate levels climbing and hiking that are part of this journey.
