Hunter Flournoy has been coaching his clients to personal fulfillment, accomplishment, and freedom for twelve years. He has been trained as a recovery coach and as a professional counselor, and draws on his extensive training in numerous spiritual traditions including the medicine tradition of Rebecca Crystal, Mayan fire teachings, the Lakota sweatlodge tradition, Sufism, Christian Mysticism, Tibetan Buddhism, and seven years exploring the ancient Toltec wisdom teachings as revealed by the nagual Don Miguel Ruiz, including an intensive three-year apprenticeship in the Toltec dreaming practices. Encouraged by Miguel and Dona Rita Rivera to support others in their own journey, Hunter now leads workshops based on the Toltec teachings across the United States. His other professional endeavors include psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, storytelling, writing, and editing. Currently, he works and facilitates traditional Lakota sweat lodges at a residential treatment center in the hills of Tennessee.

My life experience, my work as Spirit Journeys vision keeper and my personal journey through addiction and recovery have created in me a passion for assisting others on their own spiritual path and personal growth. What excites me most in life is helping others uncover their potential and setting their hearts and minds free.

My teachings come from a wide range of spiritual traditons. During my childhood, I was simultaneously raised in the Unity School of Christianity, the teachings of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and the traditions of the Diné (Navajo). During high school and college, my focus was psychology and psychotherapy, with a minor in medicine.  I have studied the Toltec wisdom teachings, Zen, Buddhism, Islam and Judiasm. I am also a Reiki, Karuna Ki and Quantum Touch Master, as well as a trained Breathworker.

Our sessions together are built around you; your needs, goals and aspirations; your blockages to living life to your fullest potential. No matter where you are in your life's journey or in what situations you may find yourself, continuing to improve your connection with your personal journey is what coaching is all about.
