Are you looking for greater intimacy in your life? Is something preventing you from fully enoying the touch of another man? Do you want to better express yourself through touch? Are you wanting deeper and more meaningful relationships? Then this is the workshop for you! With Eros - the God of Love – as our inspiration for this weekend, you’ll find yourself in the company of like-minded men who are sincere seekers. Together we’ll earnestly explore the questions, ‘What is intimacy?’ and “Can I be intimate with another if I am not also intimate with myself?’ With the support of community you’ll come to know how the accepting presence of other men can give you the courage and desire to go even deeper into knowing yourself and others. photo courtesy of Kevin Kortan "I came fully expecting some kind of glitch but it all went off flawlessly which tells me you went to great lengths of planning beforehand. I can't applaud your efforts enough. You are a blessing to the world. I will recommend you to anyone looking for a well-run and transformative workshop experience. Many thanks!" - Hal, Arizona Intimacy is not bound to certain acts. Intimacy is the quality of attention we bring to each moment. It is welcoming all that arises, the shadow and the light. In this retreat we will use mindfulness practices to help us be present. Mindfulness is devotion to each moment, each breath, each action, each person we are with. The weekend will include yoga practices for all levels; tantric exercises done solo, in partners, and in groups; as well as instruction in erotic touch and games of erotic play. We’ll be exploring both with clothes-on and clothes-off, as well as sharing intimate touch with boundaries negotiated and respected. You are encouraged to bring poetry, music, and drawings - your own or others - that touch, inspire, and provoke you. You can also prepare by spending time each day with yourself in some form of conscious movement practice with awareness of the breath, as well as some time spent quietly in stillness. "Again, Bravo! Kevin and Howie presented a nuanced safe place for personal growth and exploration. I am very grateful to have had this experience." - Roy, Colorado "Both of you, Howie and Kevin, did a really good job. I found it very comforting that both of you were very perceptive and compassionate men leading the workshop." - Brian, Minnesota All men are welcome. All that is required is a sincere desire to learn to become more intimate. Bring your natural curiosity, open-heartedness and open-mindedness to the workshop. I learned a lot about myself through interaction with the other men, and I learned from hearing their stories. I could tell there was a lot of thought and planning that went into the weekend. You definitely created a sacred space that had good boundaries, but that also let us explore." - Don, Pennsylvania Have questions? Contact us at 800-754-1875 or info@spiritjourneys.com About the Kirkridge Retreat Center (only 80 miles from NYC & easily accessible by bus) Since 1942, Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center has been providing a place for rest and renewal to pilgrims along life’s journey. It is located on the beautiful Kittatinny Ridge of eastern Pennsylvania near the Delaware Water Gap and the Pocono Mountains region. Their retreats, hospitality, beautiful vistas and sacred ground have blessed and continue to bless countless lives. Kirkridge’s emphasis from the beginning was the integration of contemplation and action for justice, or "Picket and Pray." Those early pilgrims and seekers who came to Kirkridge understood that the life of faith requires not only action to transform the world toward greater shalom, but also the cultivation of a deep spirituality to sustain that compassionate action. The legacy continues today. With a wide variety of programming and a growing constituency of folks from many faith traditions, Kirkridge celebrates their presence as a Christian center with an ecumenical spirit and an inter-faith welcome. We hope to welcome you soon to this sacred space called Kirkridge. Vews of where we will be staying, The Farmhouse. The Farmhouse.
